Dr. Tasha Faruqui
✷ WHO
Tasha Faruqui is a pediatrician, author, and medical advocate. A mother to a child with a rare disease who is currently in hospice, Tasha uses her platform to advocate for parents of medically complex children and raise awareness about anticipatory grief.
✷ WHAT
In November 2023, I began working as Tasha’s marketing specialist to establish and grow the @theFaruqui5 Instagram community from the ground up. In this role, I develop and execute all social media strategy, spearhead content creation, facilitate community management, provide copywriting and copyediting services, and more.
✷ WISHES
My work with Tasha primarily focuses on fostering brand awareness and building a robust platform with an engaged following to support her ultimate goal of securing a traditional publishing deal for her debut memoir, Keep Your Head Up. (Spoiler alert: We did it!)
Key achievements from year one:
Established the @theFaruqui5 Instagram account and grew following to over 16k, creating content that garners an average of 2M+ monthly impressions.
Collaborated with outlets such as SEEN.TV, Make-A-Wish, and news channels including WCPO Cincinnati and B-105 Cincinnati.
Successfully got the attention of Olivia Rodrigo via a targeted Instagram campaign created to help Tasha’s youngest daughter, Leena, deliver a handmade gift to the popstar.
Designed and launched the website www.tashafaruqui.com.
Achieved Tasha’s dream of landing a traditional publishing deal by cultivating a strong author platform with dedicated followers indicative of strong future book sales and the creation of a persuasive marketing deck.
