The Faruqui 5

✷ WHO

The Faruqui 5 is an Instagram community founded by physician, author, and advocate Tasha Faruqui. A mother to a child with an undiagnosed disease who is currently in hospice, Tasha aims to use her platform to advocate for parents of medically complex children and raise awareness about anticipatory grief.

✷ WHAT

In November 2023, I began working as Tasha’s social media specialist to establish and grow the @theFaruqui5 community from the ground up. In this role, I develop and execute all social media strategy, spearhead content creation, facilitate community management, provide copywriting and copyediting services, and more.

✷ WISHES

My work with Tasha primarily focuses on increasing brand visibility, building a robust following, and fostering community engagement.

Notable achievements from the last year:

Established the @theFaruqui5 Instagram account and grew following to nearly 10k over an 18-month period, creating content that garners an average of 1M+ monthly impressions.
Collaborated with outlets such as SEEN.TV (7M+ followers), Make-A-Wish OH, IN & KY, and news channels including WCPO Cincinnati and B-105 Cincinnati.
Successfully got the attention of Olivia Rodrigo via a targeted Instagram campaign created to help Tasha’s youngest daughter, Leena, deliver a handmade gift to the popstar.
Designed and launched the website www.tashafaruqui.com.
